Maggie Van Deuren

I have known I was going to be a teacher since the age of 5. My earliest memories of school are not moments but feelings. I remember always feeling safe and cared for at school. It was a place where magic happened. Every morning I would wake up excited for what new learning was up ahead. There have been many memorable teachers in my schooling, but the ones who stand out the most are not because of what they said, but because of how they made me feel. Now I get the opportunity daily to pass on my love of learning while helping kids feel safe and cared for. This is my 8th year of teaching primary students. Every day I feel so honored to share your children with you.
